Houzz

I know that a lot of people are loving Pinterest, believe me- I am one of those people.  Something I'm equally excited about is the website, Houzz.  I stumbled across it some time last winter, and I'll blame what I'm about to say on my then pregnancy brain, but I cannot remember how I stumbled upon it.  Regardless, it's pretty much the bees knees.  I really love their iPad app, and because of that I'm on it more than ever.  So, what's Houzz?  It's a site designed for both professionals and home owners to display their work.  The pictures seem to be endless, I guess that's what I really love about it.  One picture can lead to several others that are similar to what you were originally searching.  I know in the future I'll share lots of my favorites from my Ideabook I've created on Houzz, but right now I'm going to start with a few photos that are from the same project by Urrutia Design.

Probably one of my very favorite rooms.  This bathroom would make me never want to leave it.  Plus it's white, which if you've seen my Home Sweet Home board on Pinterest you'll know I'm a sucker for white baths and kitchens!

Be Mine

Every where I go lately I'm seeing signs that Valentines Day is on it's way.  It's never been my favorite holiday, if you'd even call it that, but I do enjoy seeing all of the pink and red that the store's have in them for this love day.  I find most people either love it or loathe it.  I don't believe you need one special day to tell someone you love them, but I think it's special nonetheless.  I created a "Be Mine" board on Pinterest, and here are a few photos that I'm quite fond of.  I hope you like them!

Little Things

Happy Monday!  My weekend was good, I enjoyed time with my little lady, and even squeezed in some time with some of my besties, Jessica & Liz!  We had brunch at Cafe Berlin on Sunday, which turned out to be quite a nice warm day for winter!  I came across this quote on Pinterest recently, and wanted to share it. 

The little things are often the biggest things in our lives, aren't they?  This is my littlest big thing in my life.

West Elm

If you haven't been over to West Elm's website lately, you should.  They have some super cool items right now, which really they always seem to have super cool things!  After checking out their "Get in Line" section, I'm pretty sure I can see some of these in my future!

These bowls are super fun.  Love the polka dots inside!

This Chevron bath mat is exactly what I want, and I love that it's black & white!

When it comes to sheets I'm pretty plain and simple.  I love no frills plain Jane white sheets.  I think it's the prettiest presentation, but these sheets with the stripe trim are awesome.  I'm really liking the green monogram as well!



A Few Things

I've recently discovered a few things I really like, a lot!  My friend Liz blogged about these roasted chick peas, so I decided last week that I would give them a try.  They're easy, literally no mess, and very good!  Oh, and I should mention that they are very hard to stay out of.  You've been warned!

Another something I'm loving now is this True Blue Spa Paraffin Lotion from Bath & Body Works.  I believe I actually got it for free with one of my million coupons I get from B&BW's.  With the dry & cold weather I've finally started using it and it works really well.  It's not greasy and with just one use it leaves my hands super soft.  Love that! 

I LOVE my new iPhone 4S- like, LOVE IT.  I could hire a minister, recite vows, and marry it I love it so much.  Okay, enough with the dramatics over my new cell phone.  I purchased a Speck Candy Shell cover for it, but I'm really, really, really trying to be good and not order one of these seriously adorable Dabney Lee cases.  How awesome would my name look on one of these?  Oh, and the fact that I can get one in Chevron sort of makes me want to die.  I love Chevron!  I am crushing on these iPhone cases so much I even pinned them on Pinterest!  Nerd alert!

Another issue I'm having with technology, is finding the perfect iPad case.  I know, I know, cry me a river, right? I've searched and cannot find any I'm super crazy over.  Right now I'm being completely careless and do not have ANYTHING on it.  I should be fined.  Literally every case that catches my eye is for a Kindle.  I have a few friends that recently purchased Kindle Fires and there are TONS of cute cases for those.  Look at how adorable these Kate Spade covers are for the Kindle-

If anyone discovers a case that is pretty darn cute, I need to know- like yesterday. Later lovelies!



Low Key Weekend

Our weekend was full of giggles, cooking, naps, and stars!  I made homeade potato soup, which was quite good!  The best part of all was getting some cuddle time with Ms. Liv.  She's the sweetest thing ever.  Here she is playing with toys and enjoying tummy time Saturday morning.

As for yesterday I spent the majority of the day doing very unglamorus things- laundry.  We did manage to fit in a touch of glamour last night, The Golden Globes were on and I'm an absolute sucker for glitz and celebs.  I thought Claire Danes looked amazing, as always.  Here is a picture of what she was wearing.

I'm NOT a fan of Jessica Alba, but I did love her dress last night.  She has an awesome and talented stylist, Brad Goreski.  Perhaps you remember him as Rachel Zoe's former style assistant.  If you're a fan of Brad's, check out his show on Bravo, It's a Brad, Brad World.  Monday nights at 9:00 p.m., Central Time!

I thought the speeches given by Kate Winslet and Michelle Williams were very sweet.  Both are such well spoken, strong women.  Hope all of you enjoyed your weekend.  Happy Monday!
